Tuneboy Tuning

EC997 Dyne System and the Panigale

Up to 3-4 True HP improvements all through the low, mid and upper mid with a perky 2 True HP boost on top. Sweet!
(Of course that depends on how badly your bike was programmed and how much you've changed your intake and exhaust in the first place).

While the peak hp improvement numbers are what people "look at", the biggest difference in EC997 dyno tuning (over simplistic Dynojet style dyno tuning) is that with the EC997's low inertia and the realtime HP readout, we can adjust the fueling at part throttle cruise, fuel and ignition to what the engine actually "wants", rather than tuning to a so-called "AFR" that it's "supposed to want".
The result is smoother part throttle, in-town cruise and maybe even better mileage.

With the proven philosophy of "tuning to Best Power and Engine Smoothness" and experience with over 30 different FI tuning programs, we can make just about every bike run better than "AFR" tuning and can definitely make better custom maps than simply dropping in a "pre-mapped" DP ECU.

With Tuneboy Software you can buy that non-Ducati exhaust system and eliminate the need for the DP ECU.
Also - if you've had your Panigale custom tuned somewhere, and it still isn't as smooth or responsive as you think it could be, give us a call or email and we can set up a diagnostic dyno test with the 5 gas EGA.   Thanks - Marc  415 883-5620

stock shift action:  high internal friction - weak feeling - slow action

Improve the detent spring rate for improved and tighter shifting.
Miss fewer shifts and quicker foot shifting - esp. better with DQS and other quickshifters.

1 hour install.

Feedback

June 2019

"All the Ducatis require a fairly deliberate shift. Even if everything is adjusted just right, you still need to 'actively' shift. Factory Pro shift mods do really help with the feel and speed of the shift action. Fair bit of work to install, but worth it!! "

1199 Shift Kit is nice. Shifts well and positive. Neutral is good, too

For me, Factory Pro has always been synonymous with racing! Back in the day, whenever I was prepping one of my bikes the first mod was a Factory Pro Jet Kit.  I used them personally and recommended them to all my friends and customers. There was not a better jet kit on the market. As a matter of fact, I still have a Factory Pro Jet kit installed in my old school (1993 Honda VFR750R), which I use as a winter bike.

Fast forward today, and I have been out of touch with Factory Pro products until my service manager approached me with a Factory Pro Shift Detent Arm and Factory Pro Spring for my 1199 Panigale R. I had used these in the past and thought why not?  The installation on the Panigale was fairly straight forward, you do not have to remove clutches or flywheels to install. As a matter of fact, the most time consuming part was cleaning the gasket material off of the cases and case cover! I couldn’t wait to ride!

The 1199 Panigale R is a sweet bike, I never would have considered it a rough shifting bike. The R motor has a few nice tidbits that the other 1199 motors do not, but the tranny is the same, as are all the shifting mechanisms.  After installing the Factory Pro Shift Detent Arm and Spring and riding my bike I was blown away by how smooth and efficient shifting has become. As a matter of fact, it is so smooth I catch myself occasionally looking at my gear indicator to see if indeed I had made an up-shift. In combination with DQS and the Factory Pro Shift Detent Arm and Factory Pro Spring, my bike seems like it has an automatic transmission! I was amazed and I am not making this up! This is the slickest gear box I have ever experienced and by far makes the stock stuff seem like a tractor tranny. No false neutrals, easily drops into neutral, no hunting for it and smooth and quick shifts! Excellent product once again! Plus one more pleased older Factory Pro customer brought back into the fold!
Thanks Marc!

"Number 29"
Lightweight Shift Centering Spring
Use with the Pro Shift Kit.

For when you decide that you want lighter feeling shift lever action for better feel.
A lighter foot shift pressure is less unsettling.
Decreases lever effort required to make a shift.
Makes foot shift pressure more like other sportbikes.
Since you are not having to push so hard to move the lever, it's easier to find neutral.

Like your rearsets, but, no matter how you lube, shim, adjust the arcs, angles and lengths, it's still annoyingly stiff to shift?

By the way, your lighter gear change return spring works a treat.

The extension of the laboratory for engines of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology was completed in about 1935. Its architect was Rudolf Otto Salvisberg (1882-1940). He had a successful career in Berlin but returned to Switzerland after the advent of the Nazis. His architectural style was somewhat similar to that of Erich Mendelsohn. The staircase of the laboratory is in normal use but well preserved.
